Project Update

The past few days have been a little crappy. I don't know if its the "back from vacation blues", but I am just so sick of my knitting and seem to have little faith in my blogging. I don't know, maybe I'll snap out of it. So, sorry if this post is a bit blah.

The wrist warmers are coming along. I have 3 out of 6 done and am definitely going to be finishing these up shortly. I don't know who exactly they are going to for the holidays, which is why I am having problems deciding what color I want to do the other pair in... we'll see. They are so comfortable and I am just in love with the Cash Iroha. I think I need to make another hourglass out of this :)

Scott's sweater is also coming along. The body is just about done. I have 6 more rows and that's it! Then I just divide for the yoke and get going on the sleeves. So, I think this project will be finished in under a month! There isn't much to show on this. It looks like a big brown blah and the ribbing makes it even harder to picture. But, you get the idea, right?!

And last but not least, a new project. It looks yummy, doesn't it?! Its the Midwest Moonlight scarf by Ivy Bigelow out of Scarf Style. I cut off one of the repeats, so its about 3 inches narrower than the pictured scarf. I love it so far....

The past few days have been a little nuts over at Sunshine Yarns, since a lot sold and I spent the past two days restocking. I did a few new winter ones and was really happy with how they turned out. The first one below is Candy Cane.. a self-striping red and white sock yarn with 1.5" stripes. The second is called Winter Berry and is just so subtle and warm!

I am so sorry you have been feeling blah. I have been feeling the same way. Probably because of the things going on at home....sickness, surgery, and me taking care of them all :-)

Your new sock yarn is beautiful....all your yarn is.

I love the wrist warmers. They are on my list to knit for myself....That way I will be warm and can still knit :-)

Ok, at this point I totally want 2 skeins each of candy cane and gryffindor. So if any pop up, bring them to knitsmiths, and I'll take them off your hands!!

Sorry you're blah. I'm blah, too.

Bah. You should move to Chicago and open a shop with me...

Love the new yarns. I'll try to post my project with your Watermelon yarn sometime this week so you can see it.

I just started Midwest Moonlight for a Christmas gift. It's taking me forever to do one repeat (the yarn I'm using is a little tempermental) so I think I'm going to rip it out and start over with one less repeat. Yours looks great so far!

I think you are my clone! I just finished the Men's Zipped Raglan and am almost done with Midwest Moonlight. Yours look great -- you are obviously a way faster knitter than me!

Sorry you have the blahs...the wrist warmers are great! And I too am starting a midwest moonlight for a christmas gift soon. I have one thing to say about your yarn...more candy cane. I love that idea. And I love my Gryffindor yarn, so I'm up for more Sunshine socks.

Hope you start feeling better soon, I hate getting the blah's =) -- but all your projects look good and the yarn is cool, too, of course. One of these days, I'll get up my nerve and order some as soon as I can justify it $$-wise =D
